Congratulations to Daniel Bullen, who over the weekend captured the Goswick Club Championship for an unprecedented fourth straight year. Bullen posted rounds of 72 and 74 for a 146 total that was two shots better than Shane Armstrong's 75-73-148, good for 2nd place. David Greenshields with matching 74s finished third.
Meanwhile, Neil Fairbairn took the B Category crown with gross scores of 76-81-157. And Richard Warner claimed C Category with scores of 89-88-177.
In the Ladies Section, Ami Ewan earned the title with gross scores of 75-70-145, with Janis Davison the runner-up.
Well done to all who competed on a Goswick layout that, due to tenacious rough fueled by the recent warm and wet weather, has never been more challenging. It promises to be quite the test for many of the UK's top pros and amateurs -- including Bullen -- who take on Goswick on 24th June in hopes of advancing past regional qualifying for The Open Championship to be contested at Royal Troon 14-21 July.
