Slowly but surely, the days are lengthening — even if the temps aren't always rising. And that means a new golf season, and the opportunity for a fresh start, will follow.
To help get the ball rolling, Goswick Golf Links will host its first-ever Spring Fling visitor competition. As with our inaugural Awesome Autumn comp that closed out 2022, you’ll get to play up to two rounds on our James Braid-designed masterpiece at a great price — with the chance to win a prize and a free round of golf in the bargain.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1
Book up to two rounds at Goswick, at any time of day or day of the week, from 1st March to 16th April. The green fee for one round is £60. But if you can play two, the combined green fee is just £100. Either way, the fee includes tea/coffee and a bacon roll before (or after) the golf. Also, if you’d like and there’s enough daylight to accommodate it, both rounds can be played on the same day (FYI the sun sets at 5:39 on 1st March and 8:12 pm on 16th April). If you’d like to play the two rounds on successive days and need local accommodation, this page on our website might be helpful.
Step 2
On the day(s) you play, check into the pro shop to receive a competition scorecard. The format is Stableford from the yellow tees.
Step 3
After each round, turn your completed scorecard into the pro shop.
Step 4
After 16th April, we will share with you the results of the best individual net score posted by each of the entrants. We’ll also let you know who has qualified for the final, which will be at least 25% of the field.
Step 5
We’ll then notify each of the finalists of the details for the final round, which will be played on a Saturday in May 2023. A trophy, 4-ball voucher and hole prizes will also be up for grabs.
Do the maths and you’ll see that everyone will get to play our authentic classic links up to two times for just £100. And with a bit of luck, you could land one more round at no additional cost.
