Goswick Golf Links is currently in lockdown. In response, here is the first in what we anticipate will be a series of posts about what our members are doing to compensate. It is offered by the Goswick men’s captain, who took the stunning photo of the 1st green above.

Just in case you’ve lost track, it’s Thursday — about half way through the fifth week of the COVID-19 lockdown in the UK. But that hasn’t dimmed the Goswick members’ passion for the game. Case in point: Andrew Renton.

And so life without golf, at least in its conventional form, continues — indefinitely. Yet that’s not stopping Goswick members from responding with creativity and perseverance.

In solidarity with the latest government guidelines, and after much deliberation from us, Goswick Golf Links has decided to close its course to all play. This shutdown applies to members and visitors alike.
